Menurut Yuli, sapaan akrabnya, sejak usia dua tahun sudah senang bermain dengan ulat dan binatang melata.
"Sebenarnya saya juga pernah gatal terkena bulu ulat. Karena memang ada ulat bulu yang membuat gatal dan tidak, " jelasnya.

"Waktu kami beli jajan saya pegang ulat, tiba-tiba saja orang penjual warung keluar sambil bawa parang, " kenangnya.
Teman - temannya juga banyak yang menjuluki Yuli punya hobi nyleneh dan tidak waras. Namun keluarganya sekarang juga sudah maklum dengan hobi kesukaannya.
"Keluarga kalau melihat saya main dengan ulat paling hanya ngedumel dan ngomel. Mereka geli setiap hari yang diurusi kok hanya ulat saja, " ungkapnya.
Mahasiswi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Kahuripan, Pare, Kabupaten Kediri mengaku semua ulat yang berbulu menjadi favoritnya.
"Ulat berbulu saya paling suka sama ulat keket, " tambahnya.
Ke depan Yuli mengaku masih akan terus bersahabat dengan ulat. Namun ulat yang ditemukan hanya dipegang-pegang serta dielus-elus, setelah itu dikembalikan lagi.
"Saya kasihan kalau saya masukkan toples, sehingga saya lepas lagi," tuturnya.
