“Ndak boleh”
“Lho kenapa?” Lalu Ustadz Bangun Samudra pun membukakan Al Qur’an. Mantan pastor itu membukakan surat An Nisa’ yang di dalamnya ada ayat
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَى فَانْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ مَثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً
”Dan jika engkau takut tidak akan dapat berlaku adil terhadap (hak-hak) perempuan yang yatim (apabila engkau menikahinya), maka nikahilah perempuan-perempuan (lain) yang engkau sukai: dua, tiga atau empat. Kemudian jika engkau takut tidak akan dapat berlaku adil, maka (nikahilah) seorang saja” (QS. An Nisa’ : 3)

“Lalu Mas menikah untuk apa?”
“Sunnah Rasul. Ibadah”

“Nanti sore siap” Jawaban ini lebih mengagetkan lagi. Maka sorenya, ia pun berdandan rapi.
Sore harinya, sang istri menepati janji. Ia mengajak Ustadz Bangun Samudra pergi ke sebuah rumah.
Setelah pintu diketuk, keluarlah seorang perempuan. “Kenalkan Mas, ini Mbah Darmi. Janda. Usianya 75 tahun”
“Lho, ini?”
“Iya Mas. Janda.
Berapa kitab hadits sudah Mas baca sejak masuk Islam sampai hari ini?” Ustadz Bangun Samudra terdiam.
Ia telah membaca 15 kitab hadits. Mulai Shahih Bukhari, Shahih Muslim, Sunan Tirmidzi, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan An Nasa’i hingga Hakim. “Siapa istri muda dari Rasulullah?”
“Aisyah”
“Sebelumnya?”
“Saudah”
“Usianya?”
“69 tahun”
“Status?”

Istri Ustadz Bangun Samudra tahu persis jika suaminya sudah tahu bahwa semua istri Nabi janda dan berusia tua ketika dinikahi beliau.

“Istri Rasul semuanya janda dan tua, Mas. Jadi kalau Mas mau mengikuti sunnah Rasul, aku rela Mas. Ini Mbah Darmi dan calon berikutnya Mbah To, usia 76 tahun.”
“Kalau begitu Mas menjalankan sunnah Rasul yang lainnya saja,” ucap sang ustaz sambil berlalu dengan wajah cemberut.
