Saat diperhatikan lebih teliti, cara mengakalinya adalah uang tersebut seperti distabilo menggunakan warna hijau agar terlihat sama seperti uang Rp20.000.
Selain itu, pelaku juga menambahkan angka nol di belakang angka 2.000 agar menjadi 20.000.
Belum diketahui siapa orang yang sengaja memodifikasi uang tersebut dan untuk tujuan apa ia melakukan hal tersebut.
